Video footage emerged of Stuart Seldowitz, who worked as an advisor in the South Asia Directorate of the National Security Council of the US State Department under former US President Barack Obama, harassing an Egyptian street vendor in New York over the Israeli-Palestinian issue.
In the footage that sparked reactions on social media, Seldowitz is seen approaching a food stand in the Manhattan area, first showing an Israeli flag badge through the window, then verbally harassing the vendor. Although the salesman politely asked him to move away, Seldowitz said, “There’s no one here. I’ll put up signs here that say: ‘This guy believes in passion.'” Seldowitz accused the Egyptian seller of being a “terrorist.” He responded to the seller’s words, “You kill children, not me.” He said, “Do you know what would happen if we killed 4,000 Palestinian children?” He replied, “This will not be enough.”
