Kim Kardashian has filed for divorce against Kanye West after 7 years of marriage. According to documents that have been submitted to the court, Kim has asked for joint custody, as well as physical custody of his 4 children: North, Chicago, Saint, and Psalm.
According to TMZ reports, the separation is by mutual agreement and both parties are doing things amicably. Before getting married, the two signed a prenuptial contract and there is no financial dispute.
At the beginning of 2020, there were already rumors that Kim had hired a lawyer to handle his separation from the famous rapper.
“They are stealthily handling it but they are done,” the insider told Page Six. “Kim hired Laura Wasser and is in the process of reaching an agreement.”
The problems between the couple were exposed last summer when Kanye ranted against Kim and her mother Kris Jenner on Twitter. Days later, Kim visited her husband at his Wyoming ranch where photographers captured her shattered in tears. After the meeting, the rapper publicly apologized to his wife.
“I want to apologize to my wife Kim for making something public something that should have been something private,” the rapper posted on Twitter. “I didn’t protect her as she protects me. I want to tell Kim to you that I know I hurt you. Please forgive me. Thank you for always being there for me ”.
