Jada Pinkett Smith is gearing up for an emotional release on October 17, as her new tell-all memoir, Worthy, will be released on the same day after months of preparation.
First announced back in June, the actress, who recently turned 52, promised that the journey into her life and past would be emotional and detailed, shedding light on the dynamics of her famous family.
So her family gathered around her to celebrate the upcoming book release, and you can watch them come together for the emotional reveal in the video below…
Jada was joined by her husband Will, her mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris, her adopted son Trey (from Will’s first marriage to Sheri Zampino) and their children Jaden and Willow.
They cheered Jada on as she finally pulled out the first copy of her memoir, which she also saw for the first time in their gorgeous family home.
Everyone cheered as Jada pulled out a copy of the book and flipped through the pages, admiring the vintage childhood photographs as well as her work on her physics notes.
Trey called the book “really beautiful” and Jaden added a light-hearted moment to the video, flipping through the pages until he accidentally came across a section where his mom described the now 25-year-old’s conception with her husband.
His father teased him, saying, “That’s when I came! That’s when I showed up!” while Willow looked at her mom and said, “I’m so proud of you!”

Touched, Jada replied: “Thank you guys for your support. I know I checked out for a while, but it was hard work. This is my baby, my new baby!”
Along with the touching video, she wrote: “My family was a part of this Worthy journey with me in the creation of this book and in the creation of my life.

“Pulling back the curtain and writing about what we experienced together was not easy. But the best part is that it shows how we have found the resilience and strength through our strong love for each other to get through it all.”
