Jadon Sancho ‘breaks silence’ on Manchester United exit after joining Borussia Dortmund, mentions Michael Jordan

Jadon Sancho has broken his silence after completing his stunning comeback against Borussia Dortmund.

Sancho eventually left United and re-signed with Borussia Dortmund on a loan deal until the end of the season with no option to buy.

“I’m back,” he said in a statement shared by the club on social media.

These two words from Sancho are what Jordan said when he announced his return to basketball.

He added on the club’s website: “When I walked into the dressing room today it felt like coming home. I know the club inside and out.”

“I can’t wait to see my teammates again, to get on the pitch, play with a smile on my face, create goals, score goals and help Dortmund qualify for the Champions League.”

Sancho returned to Borussia Dortmund after enjoying an outstanding spell before moving to Manchester United in the summer of 2021.

Before joining the Red Devils, he scored an impressive 50 goals in 137 appearances in the Bundesliga.

The 23-year-old, who has not played since August last year, will wear the number 10 shirt at Dortmund.

The German side will travel to Darmstadt on Saturday to wrap up their league campaign.

But due to not having much playing time this season, Sancho is not yet ready for the team’s league games.

Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl added: “Jadon Sancho is an absolutely special player and I look forward to seeing him back in black and yellow soon. He knows the city, Signal Iduna Park, our fans and our club.”

“Although he has not played any competitive matches over the past few months, we are confident that he will return to us soon, get into top form and use his qualities to help us achieve our goals for the season.”
