“Goodybye Never Felt So Bad” is a song about how absurd goodbye can be. Rarely is there anything beautiful about it. I constantly say goodbye to the people I love, it’s part of my job. I am always traveling. It’s a great job, but everything in life has its ups and downs. I started playing this piece live this summer, long before I knew it was going to be released. I just wanted to share new music, just to feel the thrill. You can’t ask the audience to absolutely love something, but every time I played it, my fans put their hands up, clapped, and sang along with me for the last chorus. It was amazing. I am very happy to share this work with the world. I wrote it with my friend, the genius Phil Plestead! I hope you like it!”.
