Jamie Dornan: Gigi Hadid and Tan France made a video for my daughters

Northern Irish actor Jamie Dornan said his daughters “loved” him after Queer Eye’s Tanning France and supermodel Gigi Hadid made a video directed at them.

Dornan, 41, has three daughters with his wife Amelia Warner, to whom he has been married since 2013.

The Belfast-born actor spoke about his family in an interview with GQ and mentioned that fashion designer France, 40, made the video after revealing his daughters were fans of the French presenters’ show Next in Fashion.

Speaking to the publication, Fifty Shades of Gray actor Dornan said: “I have three girls. They are nine, seven and four years old and they are three of the coolest people I have ever met. And they’re just obsessed with Next in Fashion on Netflix.

“I started watching it with them and now I’m obsessed. I’m pretty sure I cried in every episode.

“No matter who gets eliminated, I always cry. Because even in an hour or 15 minutes, whatever, you invest so much and see how much work they put in and how talented they all are.

“My kids have little books where they make me print out a bunch of mannequin drawings so they can create their own designs. Now they just create clothes all the time.

“I know (show co-host) Tan France a little bit, and because I know Tan, I told him a couple of weeks ago about their crazy obsession with the show.

“Of course, Tan, being the absolute gentleman he is, said, ‘I’m actually with (co-host) Gigi (Hadid) this weekend. We’re leaving together, so I’ll make a video.”

“A couple days later I woke up and saw this video from Tan and Gigi using my daughter’s names and I don’t think they’ve ever loved me more than they did in that moment. So it was a big victory for dad.”

Dornan recently learned that his daughters know the lyrics to Backstreet Boys’ “I Want It That Way,” which surprised him when the track was released in 1999.

He said: “We’re talking about a song that came out long before they were born.

“I don’t know how many other Backstreet Boys songs they know, but they definitely know this song.

“They (also) know so many Spice Girls songs now. And we are talking 30 years after this fact. This is madness”.

Next In Fashion is a Netflix reality competition where aspiring designers compete to impress seasoned judges.

Hadid, whose sister Bella is also a supermodel, began hosting the second season of the series, which premiered earlier this year.
