Jennifer Lawrence is ready to return to the big screen in a decidedly caliente guise and is ready to pour all her attentions on a very clumsy nineteen year old in the unusual role of “girlfriend for rent“.
The star is in fact the protagonist of No Hard Feelings, the new R-rated comedy directed by Gene Stupnitsky which will see her engaged in a decidedly provocative role. Lawrence will play Maddie, a bankrupt Uber driver who needs a large sum of money by return of post to save her childhood home. Maddie will come across the strange offer of a couple of very wealthy parents desperately looking for a figure to help their 19-year-old son Percy, awkward and socially inept, to “come out of the shell” before he goes to college.
The official synopsis of the film reads: On the verge of losing her childhood home, Maddie stumbles upon an intriguing job listing: wealthy parents are looking for someone to give their introverted 19-year-old son Percy a date before he leaves for college. To her surprise at her, Maddie will soon discover that the awkward Percy is far from an easy target.

The film was directed by Gene Stupnitskyalready known for directing comedies of the tone of Bad teacher, Good Boys – Those bad boysAnd Year one. On the television front he has also directed some episodes of The Office. Stupnitsky also co-wrote the script with John Phillips. Produced by Columbia Pictures and Excellent Cadaver and distributed by Sony Pictures, the film has Jennifer Lawrence herself among the producers, Naomi Odenkirk, Justine Polsky And Marc Provissiero.
Beyond Jennifer Lawrence in the role of Maddie, in the cast of the film we can see Andrew Barth Feldman in the role of Percy. They complete the cast of the film Matthew Broderick And Laura Benanti in the role of the parents of the shy protagonist, Natalie Morales, Hasan Minhaj, Scott MacArthur, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Kyle Mooney, Jordan Mendoza, Matt Walton And Alysia Joy.
No Hard Feelings will hit US cinemas on June 23, 2023while at the moment there are still no details on the Italian distribution.
