Jennifer Lopez is both a killer and a mother in the action movie Mother, which Netflix will release on Mother’s Day weekend.In the recently released trailer, the world-famous singer, dancer and actress plays an ex-assassin who abandoned her old life and family to protect her 12-year-old daughter. The trailer reveals that the FBI made a deal with Lopez after several agents were killed and two dangerous men were still at large. Years after her daughter’s kidnapping, the main character, played by Lopez, must come out of hiding and return to her life in order to save her daughter. Along the way, she tortures, shoots, stabs and butts the kidnappers and teaches her daughter how to survive in the face of danger. “I’m a killer, but I’m also a mother,” Lopez said in the trailer, which describes the film perfectly.The cast included Joseph Fiennes, Lucy Paez, Omari Hardwicke, Paul Raci and Gael Garcia Bernal. Here’s the official logline: “A deadly female killer comes out of hiding to protect the daughter she abandoned years ago when she was on the run from dangerous men.”
