Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE about his partnership with Pfizer and encouraging people to get the latest COVID vaccine this season, the 44-year-old singer also talks about celebrating his 10-year wedding anniversary with his wife and how they had guests reaching for napkins. .
“Our performances made everyone cry,” Legend says. “Chrissy spoke first and the whole room just cried. And then I was able to talk to her and sing.”

Legend and Teigen tied the knot on September 1st. On December 14, 2013, they kicked off their 10th anniversary celebrations last month with a brunch at Villa Pizzo, the site of their first wedding ceremony in Lake Como, Italy.
“It was very romantic,” a source told PEOPLE at the time. “They arrived by boat… It was exciting to see how happy they were still together.”
Later during the event, “(John and Chrissy) came out onto the balcony and greeted all the guests,” the insider noted, explaining that Legend also “gave a short speech later after dinner.”

Continuing to chat with PEOPLE, Legend shares details about his and Teigen’s special day.
“We wrote speeches for each other reflecting on our love, our 10 years together and the family we had raised,” he details. “It was a really beautiful celebration.”
Noting that he’s “looking through photos right now to put together a little book to commemorate the event,” the “All of Me” singer says, “It truly was a magical time.”
“I think the biggest difference between our wedding and our anniversary celebration was that we now have four kids, so being able to celebrate with them was just amazing,” he continues of the couple’s four children.
“We were really excited just to see them there,” adds the proud father.
