Joker Folie à Deux, filming concluded: new photo of Lady Gaga in the role of Harley Quinn

Joker: Folie à Deux has finished filming: with a message on Instagram, director Todd Phillips announced that the most purely cinematic part of the film’s production is now over and filming is over, celebrating the event with a new image of Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn and one of Joaquin Phoenix returning to his Poker role.

We had previously seen the first image of Lady Gaga in this role, today we can see it in a new shot that can give a more precise idea of ​​the particular interpretation used by the artist to reproduce the famous DC Comics character in this film.

On the other hand, it feels like a style that fits perfectly with the general vibe of Joker, underlined by the way the protagonist himself is portrayed by Phoenix. “We are done. Thanks to these two (plus the entire cast) for representing the best group the film industry has to offer,” wrote director Phillips.

“In all respects. Now I just have to go into a cave (aka the editing room) and put it all together.” This means that the whole part of the shooting, which directly involves the actors of the cast, is now completed but the production has to deal with another particularly long and demanding section of the work, that is all the editing of the scenes in an entire film.

Joker: Folie à Deux has la release date set for October 4, 2024, so there is still a long time before we can see it in theaters, but we already know that it will be part of the DC cinematic universe under the new leadership of James Gunn and Peter Safran.
