Justin Thomas buys first car at 15 after winning huge bet against Michael Jordan

Justin Thomas has revealed he won thousands of pounds while playing golf with Michael Jordan as a teenager and used the winnings to buy himself his first car.

The golf star appeared on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” to discuss the deal he struck with the NBA icon. The former Chicago Bulls player is an avid golfer who attends the Kentucky Derby every year.

There, he would play a round of golf with former NBA player Junior Bridgeman and Thomas’ father, Mike, the head pro at their course. Thomas was their caddy, and in their third year playing together, Jordan invited Thomas to join him as his partner, and their performance paid off handsomely.

“I didn’t play the first few years. My dad’s course was very old-school – no tee times, no rules really, just playing in sixes or whatever, no caddies. So I would be the team’s caddy, Thomas began. “The first few years, I would help them. He finished the round with an eight-over 79, one of the worst scores of his career.
