NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins had a head-scratching opinion after LeBron James and the Lakers beat the Clippers.
LeBron James led the Los Angeles Lakers to a comeback victory over their Los Angeles rivals, the Los Angeles Clippers, on Wednesday night. In this victory, James was dominant, scoring 35 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists, helping the Lakers end their 11-game losing streak against the Clippers.
On Thursday, former NBA player and analyst Kendrick Perkins offered an interesting take on the 38-year-old (soon to be 39) James’ continued dominance.
“When your son and your child goes through something like Bronny (James), it suddenly affects you,” Perkins said on ESPN. NBA Today. “I see LeBron playing with a different passion and a different goal. … Can (LeBron) sustain (the Lakers’ extended playing time)? Fork.”
In the video, Perkins appears to reference an extremely scary situation that occurred last summer when LeBron’s son, Bronny James, suffered a cardiac arrest at a USC basketball practice. Thankfully, Bronny James ended up okay, but health scares understandably put a spotlight on minor issues like basketball performance.
