Keshia Chante explains the origins of Bow Wow beef

Keshia Chante has quite an impressive and varied collection of accomplishments in her career. Apart from being a singer, she is also an actress and has been a presenter 106 and Park along with Bow Wow. Many may remember that she was identified as the girl “Kiki” from Drake’s hit song “In My Feelings”, which stemmed from the couple’s relationship almost ten years ago. But she has a longer and even more complex connection with her co-host Bow Wow.

In a recent interview, Chanté discussed her background with the rapper. In the story, she recalls how Bow Wow personally asked her to play the lead role in the video for his song “Shawty Like Mine.” But when she flies out to meet him, he tries to persuade her to stay at his hotel, and Chante refuses. Soon after she learns that she has been replaced as the lead in the video by Angela Simmons. In the end, it worked for her because Chris Brown noticed it. Instead, Chante got the opportunity to appear in his video. This created what she called a “rivalry” between the various parties involved, which reportedly continued for years.
