Kevin Durant, LeBron James and Curry, U.S. Dream Team 2024 Paris Olympics

NBA superstar Kevin DurantLeBron James and Stephen Curry said Monday they are interested in representing the United States at the 2024 Paris Olympics, as the new Dream Team seeks a fifth consecutive Olympic gold medal.

“I’m going to the Olympics next year,” Durant (Phoenix Suns), who could become the first American to win four Olympic basketball gold medals in the French capital, told the media.

LeBron James, the NBA’s all-time scoring leader and Los Angeles Lakers superstar who won gold medals in 2008 and 2012, downplayed his interest, simply saying: “Yeah, I’m interested. We’ll see. what happened.”

However, other players said LeBron, a four-time NBA champion and forward who turns 39 in December, has played a crucial behind-the-scenes role in assembling an All-NBA team for the 2024 Olympics.

“I’d love to,” Los Angeles Clippers’ Paul George said. “I know LeBron is at the forefront of creating a great team. But it first depends on my conditioning and my health to finish the season.”

“It all depends on how we perform this season and how far we go. That will have a huge impact on my decision to play in France.”
