Kevin Durant just delivered flowers to LeBron James as the Phoenix Suns take on the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night in their first regular season game since Christmas 2018.
“LeBron is an all-time great player and has solidified himself as one of the top two players of all time,” Durant said after Thursday morning’s shootaround at Crypto.com Arena.

While Durant understands the hype surrounding this game, he didn’t try to make too big a deal out of his matchup with James. He just faced him last week in the final preseason game in Palm Springs, but this is the regular season.
Plus, the history between these two makes it a must-see on national television.
TNT is televising the game.

Durant said James’ immense appeal makes any game he plays in more meaningful, marveling that the NBA’s all-time leading scorer still has fans in hysterics at “40 years old.”
“Every time he steps on the court, no matter who the opponent is, especially at 40 years old, he’s going to be talked about,” Durant said. “When you play against the Clippers and Kawhi (Leonard) or against Victor Wembanya for the first time, I just think LeBron is so attractive and every game is great for him. important.”
