When Khloe Kardashian shared her experience with microneedling for her face on social media this week, she admitted that she lost a lot of sensation due to a skin cancer scare.
On Tuesday, Khloe Kardashian took to Instagram to share her microneedling experience, revealing in the process that she’s lost a lot of sensation in her face due to a skin cancer scare.
This week, the 39-year-old reality star posted a series of Instagram stories to reveal her microneedling process with exosomes for the first time. The Kardashian star explained the benefits of the procedure by saying it should help improve skin texture, reduce scars, burns and more. This practice also helps tighten the skin, giving users a more youthful appearance by reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
In a selfie video, the mother-of-two was seen with white numbing cream on her face as she lay with her hair slicked back in preparation for the procedure. She captioned the video: “When I say scar, I mean the AREA of the scar. I actually like scars (this may seem strange to some, but they are bad and remind us of where we have been). I do not like. But the scars are terrible.”

While Khloe numbed her face before the procedure, she admitted to fans that she had difficulty feeling one side of her face even without numbing cream. She said: “I get really numb on that side of my face without the numbing cream. This is a very strong feeling, so we will work on this more than anywhere else.” She continued, “I’ve never done this before, so I’m really excited to try it and see what happens.”
The scar on Khloe’s area was caused by the Good American co-founder having to have a melanoma spot removed from her cheek earlier in October 2022. Melanoma is one of the three main types of skin cancer and is usually curable if detected and treated early.
Ahead of the removal, she admitted she thought the bump was a pimple for almost a year on her family’s reality show until she had a biopsy. Almost exactly a year ago, she had the spot removed by Beverly Hills surgeon Dr. Garth Fisher, after which she used cosmetic injections to fill the dent left by the surgery.
Following her cancer scare, Khloe shared her experience with People, expressing how grateful she was to her doctors and the opportunity to have the spot removed early. She told the news outlet: “I’m definitely not complaining because I would rather have compensation than melanoma any day,” and added: “I am incredibly grateful to all the doctors who have helped and continue to help me through my skin cancer journey. “
