Khloe Kardashian reflects on a past situation that strengthened her for her recent challenge.
During the last episode KardashianThe Good American co-founder spoke about the new purpose she gained while caring for her ex-husband: Lamar Odom, who was hospitalized eight years ago. In the episode, she explained how that moment prepared her to help care for her ex-boyfriend. Tristan Thompson younger brother Bitter17 years old who uses a wheelchair, reports PEOPLE.
The brothers stayed briefly at Chloe’s house while Thompson’s house was being built due to weather conditions.
“There’s no playbook, no set of rules,” she said, acknowledging Amari’s condition. “We don’t know what the hell we’re doing. And I say “we” because I take all the medications for Amari.”
Now Tristan and Amari have settled into the NBA star’s Hidden Hills estate.
In 2015, Odom made headlines after overdosing at a Las Vegas brothel. Khloe credits the experience with giving her the opportunity to be the support Tristan and Amari needed after their mom’s sudden death earlier this year.
“I definitely feel overwhelmed, but there’s nothing I can’t handle. I just want to help in any way I can to help take some of the responsibility off of people who are grieving the loss of their mother,” she said in a confessional. “I don’t know if this sounds really dark and I don’t even know if anyone will understand it… but I feel like I have the tools I need because of what I went through with Lamar, who couldn’t walk.” , who was bedridden and unable to speak for months.”
While talking to Tristan, she added: “For my ex-husband, when he was in a coma, some doctors said, ‘He can’t hear, he’s brain damaged.’ I played music that I knew he liked and always talked to him. And then when he could talk, he would say, “I heard everything you said, I tried to talk to you,” and I was like, “I knew it!” So who knows how much Amari knows?”
Tristan is grateful to have Khloe in his corner. “After everything happened with my mom, I needed someone to help me and you answered the call,” he told her during the episode.
