The socialite, who is studying to be a lawyer, traveled with her younger sister to the California State Prison, where she spoke with some inmates.
Kim and Khloé Kardashian visited a prison in Los Angeles. In collaboration with Michael Rubin, REFORM and Future Shapers Advisory Council, the two sisters, advocates and spokespersons for prison reform in the United States, spoke with inmates inside California State Prison.
“It’s always an honor to be able to visit the men and women who live within our prison walls,” Kim said after the visit, as reported by People. “Hearing the stories of people trapped in the prison system is what drives my commitment to advocate for reform and find ways to leverage my platform to help change lives and laws.”
«Today I was particularly excited to bring the cause of REFORM and the Future Shapers Advisory Council also inside prisons. We are building a new generation of leaders and influencers to join our cause.”
Kim, who is studying to be a lawyer, founded the Future Shapers Advisory Council in February, in partnership with the already existing REFORM. The organization was founded in 2018 by rapper Meek Mill, along with other artists such as Rubin, Shawn ‘JAY-Z’ Carter and Robert Kraft.
