Kim Kardashian ruined my life

The surreal tale

David Liebensohn sued Kim Kardashian for $300 million in 2019 claiming that she and her team stole her idea. Obviously, Kim Kardashian’s lawyers support another version: according to the defense, Liebensohn voluntarily gave up all rights to the application, giving Kardashian unlimited ownership. The Los Angeles Superior Court obviously agreed with Kim Kardashian. The developer, along with his colleagues, had actually reached an agreement for a percentage of the app’s profits. In 2015, even Kanye West talked about it in a song about him: “We made a million a minute with Kimoji!”.

The bankruptcy of the developer

Liebensohn said he was forced to withdraw his $300 million lawsuit due to legal fees that literally forced him off the street. He lost his $2 million business, his family turned on him, he lost his home. He lives in a 2011 Toyota Prius, showers at the gym. He used to live in Oklahoma City, but now he’s moved to Los Angeles and goes around the strategic points of the city with a sign: “Kim Kardashian ruined my life.” The developer said: “I have nothing to lose, I’m literally sleeping in my car, so I want people to know my story.”

Because the deal fell through

Liebensohn and his two partners had developed CensorGram in 2014, an application to protect user accounts from bullying and spammers. This application also attracted the attention of Kim Kardashian. At this point, one of Liebensohn’s associates, probably to show off with friends, shares a screen that testifies to the agreement and the economic figures at stake with Kim Kardashian. The screen goes around Chicago and also reaches Kim Kardashian’s entourage who not only withdraws the offer, but also threatens Liebensohn and his associates with a defamation lawsuit.
