Kim Kardashian has spoken candidly about the positive impact her relationship with ex-husband Kanye West had on her self-esteem.
The star of Keeping Up With The Kardashians reflected on the lessons instilled by West during an appearance on the podcast We Are Supported By … with hosts Kristen Bell and Monica Padman, where she revealed that the rapper taught her to be herself.
“I got to a point – maybe being in a relationship with Kanye for a decade, someone who didn’t care at all what the liking factor or perception they had of him as long as he was true to himself – which taught me. a lot to be who I am and live in the moment, “he said.
According to Kardashian, who acknowledged that she used to be a “people-pleasing” person, West also taught her that she doesn’t need to “please” everyone, as the most important thing is to be honest with yourself and live life the way you are. that one wants.

While Kardashian credits her ex-husband of nearly seven years with the life lesson, how West feels “that way so genuinely at his core,” she also noted that her confidence likely also came from getting older, becoming a mother, and her life’s experiences.
