Everything now seems ready for the coronation of King Charles to be held in Westminster Abbey Church on 6 May 2023 and even the controversies relating to the artists who were supposed to perform at the event seem to have diminished by now. In fact, there are 7 singers who, to date, would have confirmed their presence at the concert that will take place the official ceremony. Waiting to know the complete lineup of performances, the BBC – the network that produces the concert – said that the latter will be aimed at celebrating “a new chapter in the history of the nation, with themes of love, respect and optimism, celebrating the four nations, their communities and the Commonwealth”.

Among the singers who have therefore confirmed their presence we find: Katy Perry, who confessed to “Variety” that she was “excited to perform at the coronation concert and to help shed further light on the British Asian Trust’s Children’s Protection Fund”; Lionel Richie who states: «Sharing the stage with the other artists at The Coronation Concert is a once-in-a-lifetime event and will be an honor»; Andrea Bocelli – ready to duet with the opera singer Bryn Terfel – declared: «I had the great honor of singing for her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on several occasions. It is now another great honor to be invited to perform at the Coronation Concert of King Charles III.”

And then the singer-songwriter Freya Ridings, the soul artist Alexis Ffrench and the Take That who, through a press release, announced: «This will be our first live show since the Odyssey Tour (…) the backdrop of Windsor Castle and the celebration of a new king. We can not wait”.
