Common Didn’t let the negative scouting reports come in Michael Jordanof all people, screwed up his basketball game…in fact, the versatile rapper capitalized on the criticism, ultimately winning the MVP trophy.
The Chicago-born host poured salt into his game after recalling MJ’s performance at the 2010 NBA Celebrity All-Star Game on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”
Koeman said he thought he was actually playing well and was pushing for MVP – but Jordan saw things very differently.
Common said his basketball dreams were a little dashed when he connected with MJ at a Brand Jordan party because the GOAT himself told him… “Stick to rapping and acting.”
Fast forward to 2020, Common…is a little older, a little wiser, and didn’t pick up the pieces after MJ’s insult and won the prestigious 2020 MVP award with an all-around tally of 10 PTS, 5 REB, 3 AST, and 4 STL . He also sticks to rapping and acting…and both work really well.
