Kylie Jenner could buy her Kylie Cosmetics brand from Coty

Like her sister Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner is considering buying her beauty brand from Coty. Therefore, the relationship between the American group and the two reality TV stars will be tense, to say the least.

According to Bloomberg, Kylie Jenner will be in talks to buy a 51% stake in her Kylie Cosmetics brand bought in 2020 by Coty for $600 million (€553 million).

Last July, Kim Kardashian reportedly entered into talks with Coty to regain full control of her skincare brand, SKKN by Kim. In 2020, Coty acquired a 20% stake in Kim Kardashian’s cosmetics brand, then known as KKW Beauty, for $200 million. An operation that then valued the brand at $1 billion.

Owner of 50 brands (CoverGirl, Bourjois, Max Factor, Rimmel, Lancaster and more), including 35 licenses (Gucci, Chloé, Marc Jacobs, Hugo Boss, Burberry), Coty, which recently strengthened its partnership with Marc Jacobs, reported earnings in fiscal year 2022/23 ended June 30 was $5.55 billion (€5 billion), up 12% on a constant volume and exchange rate.

During this period, its Prestige division, which includes SKKN by Kim and Kylie Cosmetics, grew 13% to $3.4 billion.
