Lady Gaga still hasn’t apologized for THIS meat dress…
We all remember how Lady Gaga arrived at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards wearing a dress made entirely of meat (to be fair, how could we forget!).
Needless to say, Gaga felt the wrath of several animal rights groups. And she felt it again recently when she stepped out in a fur ensemble. Was it real fur? Was it faux fur? No one seems to know, but Gaga criticized animal rights activists who use “cruel, offensive and childish campaigns.”
Belfast Telegraph reports that Gaga expressed her views on activist groups that use “violent” and “abusive” campaigns to spread their ideas.
“I want you to know that I care deeply about your feelings and views and will always support your views on life. However, I do not support cruel, offensive or childish campaigns for ANY REASON,” Gaga wrote on her website.
“Especially one I respect. ‘Animal rights.’ I choose not to comment on whether the furs I buy are faux or real because I think it would be too critical to not acknowledge python, ostrich, cowhide, leather, lamb, alligator, “Kermit” fur and not mention fur which I buy. mention the meat I already carried,” she added.
Gaga shocked animal rights groups back in 2010 with her meat dress.
Gaga then expressed her views on the topic of wearing fur/meat, writing, “You see a corpse, I see a museum piece.”
“I respect your opinion, please respect mine. And to the campaigners: save your flour to bake bread for hungry children. And Kim Kardashian is great,” she said, referring to the fact that earlier this year animal rights activists “floured Kim Kardashian.”
Anyway, what do you think ladies? Is Gaga just asking for trouble by making statements like this? And, more importantly, would you ever wear a dress made entirely of meat?
