Lady Gaga is showing off all kinds of dancer-glamour during her Enigma + Jazz & Piano residency in Las Vegas, currently in its jazz-centric phase at the Park MGM.
The 37-year-old singer-songwriter has shown off plenty of stunning looks during her time in Sin City, and her latest, while subdued compared to the rest, is as brilliant as you’d expect.
She posted photos of herself in her luxurious dressing room, eating grapes and lounging on a green velor sofa.
Gaga wore a stunning little black dress with shimmery silver trim at the collar and waist that gave way to a pair of neatly hidden cutouts.
The fit also featured a pair of cap sleeves that added shape. Gaga completed her look with hair in an old Hollywood bob, a bold smoky eye, and a dark red lip, most likely courtesy of Haus Labs.
“Another Saturday night of jazz in Las Vegas. Hope to make another audience smile…you always make me smile,” she wrote alongside her photos.
Excited fans left comments like: “Love them!!!” and: “You always make us smile, we love you just the way you are!” and also: “You are so amazing, it’s just crazy!”
Gaga’s jazz residency began again on August 31 and will run until October 5, the first (and so far only) stop of the year since she took a break following performances in April and May last year.
She often used her stage to showcase her signature blend of theatricality and activism, bringing audiences a performance of her 2011 LGBTQ+ anthem “Born This Way” in early September in support of transgender rights, especially during the “Enigma” segment. residency, featuring more of her signature pop and electronic material.
However, Gaga’s return to performing jazz was a bleak one, as it marked her first return since the passing of jazz legend Tony Bennett, a close friend with whom she collaborated on two jazz albums. Cheek to cheek And Love for saleand became a major inspiration for her alternative career in the genre.
Bennett, who appeared occasionally with his friend and protégé during her Jazz + Piano residency, died on July 21 at the age of 96, a few days before his 97th birthday on August 3.
In her tribute to the late legend, shared more than a week after his passing, Gaga wrote: “I will miss singing with him, recording with him, talking with him, being on stage together. I have to live with Tony.” My life in time. Tony and I had this magical power. We were transported to another era, together we modernized the music and gave it new life as a singing duo.
“But it wasn’t pretense. Our relationship was very real. Of course, he taught me about music, life in show business, but he also showed me how to stay in a good mood and keep my head up.”
