The Kings will not play the Kings.
LeBron James said he plans to play in only half of the Lakers’ six preseason games and will miss his second game so far when the team hosts the Sacramento Kings in Anaheim on Wednesday.
Lakers head coach Davin Hamm made the announcement during Tuesday’s practice:
The outcome of this game obviously doesn’t matter, but James’ absence could leave the Lakers without considerable forward depth on Wednesday, as both Cam Reddish (ankle) and Jared Vanderbilt (heel) Missed Monday’s game against the Lakers.
