Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is one of the greatest players of his generation. However, looking at the bigger picture, how does Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant compare to King James?

“I think real basketball players know that Kevin Durant is going to be a better basketball player than LeBron,” Rashad McCants said in an interview. Jill’s Arena Show.
McCants also said LeBron James and Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry are more marketable than Kevin Durant. The former Minnesota Timberwolves lottery pick even made a gesture to get his point across.
Rashad McCants then posed the question: “Why isn’t Durant considered a top three player all-time?”
“Because the media erased his legacy when he left,” Gilbert “Agent Zero” Arenas quickly responded. Arenas was referring to Kevin Durant’s departure from the Oklahoma City Thunder after the 2015-16 NBA season.
Agent Zero also pointed out that if big market cities like Los Angeles, Boston and Chicago have good teams, the NBA will thrive on them. He even said, “That’s a cash cow.” LeBron James is thriving in his 21st NBA season and sixth with the Lakers.
Kevin Durant, on the other hand, is in his second season with the Suns, a small-market team. If he ends his illustrious NBA career in a larger market, perhaps he will gain greater recognition.
KD is in his prime in his 17th NBA season. He averaged 31.4 points per game. This year he averaged 7.2 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game for Phoenix.
No matter how you view the legacies of LBJ and KD, one thing is for sure: these two players will one day be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
