Lakers player LeBron James to release second children’s book ‘I’m More’

Los Angeles Lakers superstar and NBA icon LeBron James announced Thursday the upcoming release of his second children’s book.

In a joint press release with HarperCollins Children’s Books, James revealed that his new book is titled “I’m Not Just.”

James’ first book, I Promise, was published in 2020, which later became a New York Times best seller.

“I Promise” was inspired by the I Promise School in James’ hometown of Akron, Ohio, which was founded in 2018 to help at-risk children receive a quality education and succeed in life.

NiƱa Mata illustrated James’s book I Promise and they team up again for I Am More Than, which will be released on April 2, 2024 It will be released on 12th and is currently available for pre-order.

Commenting on his decision to release a second children’s book following the success of I Promise, James said:

“It’s incredible to see students, teachers, and families react to I Promise and its message of encouragement. With this next book, we hope to continue inspiring kids everywhere to keep dreaming and not let anything get in the way them. “I Am Beyond is about believing in yourself and all the amazing things you are capable of accomplishing that no one else can define for you. I hope everyone who reads this is inspired to “go above and beyond” in everything they do.

The 38-year-old James is the father of three children. He is arguably the greatest player in NBA history. He was selected to the All-Star 19 times, won the NBA MVP four times, won the NBA championship four times, and won the NBA Finals MVP four times.

LeBron is also the NBA’s all-time scoring leader, surpassing Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar last season.

The Lakers will begin their 2023-24 NBA regular season on Tuesday when they travel to Denver to take on the defending NBA champion Nuggets.
