Lancôme launches skincare and makeup collection with the Louvre – Lancôme

Dubbed “Lancôme x Louvre”, Lisa Eldridge, Global Creative Director of Lancôme Makeup, was inspired by nine masterpieces from the Louvre’s sculptural department, including the Venus de Milo and the Victory of Samothrace, as well as lights and colors museum.

“I am delighted with this first collaboration with Lancôme, which artfully illustrates the various forms of beauty represented in the Louvre collections, where cultures and civilizations meet beyond land and time,” said Laurence de Cars, President and Director of the Louvre. . “The choice of the Venus de Milo, the Nymph with a Scorpio or Diana de Gaby as ambassadors for this campaign offers a new perspective on the iconic and inspiring images of antiquity, comparing them to contemporary notions and standards.”

The launch of the collection is supported by an advertising campaign filmed at the Louvre featuring Zendaya, Aya Nakamura, Amanda Seyfried and He Kong.

“For Lancôme, beauty is a living art; beauty as a personal ritual is a way to express yourself and stand out, going beyond ever-changing standards,” commented Françoise Lehmann, CEO of Lancôme International. “This unprecedented and creative partnership with the Louvre is a cultural testament to this belief and our mission of beauty at Lancôme. As we continue the dialogue between our almost 90-year-old French group and the world’s most iconic temple of art, we aim to promote new perspectives on beauty for today’s women, based on our artistic heritage, and celebrate the ever-changing nature of beauty.”
