Freeform has announced that the project is moving forward.
A few months after the launch of the chapter’s pilot of the series Last Summer, which features the actress, Jessica Biel (The sinner) as executive producer, has gotten approval to move forward. It is a “thriller non-conventional”according to Freeform, the Disney channel has confirmed that it will make the project.
The story takes place during three summers different, passed in 1993, 1994 and 1995, and it develops in a small city in the state of Texas, where Kate (played by Mika Abdalla) disappears. No apparent relationship, a girl called Jeanette (Chiara Aurelia) happens to be a girl atypical to be very popular in your city.
Each episode is told from the point of view of one of the girls and promises to make change the vision of the viewer, since the synopsis says that Last Summer “it will make the loyalty of the viewers to change constantly as it reveals more information”.
The cast also includes Michael Landes (Hunters of legends), Froy Gutiérrez (Teen Wolf), Harley Quinn Smith (Once upon a time … in Hollywood), Allius Barnes (Amazing), Blake Lee (Collective intelligence), Brooklyn Sudano and Nathaniel Ashton. Biel will be executive producer along with Bert V. Royal and Michelle Purple, while the pilot was directed by Max Winkler.
The request of the series will be announced on Friday 17th January in the press tour of the Association of Critics of Television, where Freeform also promoted the renewal of Good Trouble and set the date for the premiere for the third season of Siren.
