Lauv covered Miley Cyrus’ song “I Used to Be Young”: watch – Rolling Stone

Lauv introduces Miley Cyrus through a cover of her song “Used to Be Young.”

On Thursday, the singer appeared on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge, where he performed a cover of Cyrus’s recent single, accompanied only by his keyboards. “You tell me that time has changed me / It’s alright, I had a good run,” he sang on the chorus. “I know I used to be crazy/It’s because I was young.”

Lauv’s glitter nail polish could be seen floating across the keys as he hit the high notes on the ballad, which Cyrus released in a video last month. The keyboard tuning was reminiscent of the opening notes of his song “Love U Like That”, which he also performed with an acoustic guitar during his visit to BBC Radio 1.

“Miley Cyrus, you are a queen,” he wrote in an Instagram story. “I covered your song.” He also wrote about the Live Lounge: “I would be honored to return here forever.”

Lauv recently joined Bella Poarch for her single “Crush” and also performed “Steal the Show” from the Pixar film. Elemental Earlier this year. Lauv wrote the song with film composers Thomas Newman and Michael Matosic and discussed the process in a recent conversation with rolling stone at the Governor’s Ball.

“It was great working with Thomas Newman, a super, super talented musician and composer,” Lauv said. “I was very scared throughout the whole process, and somehow we recorded the song!”
