LeBron James crowns Travis Kelce the most famous athlete in Northeast Ohio to appeal to Taylor Swift fans

LeBron James is arguably the most popular athlete in Northeast Ohio. The “Chosen One” hails from Akron, Ohio and continues to call it home. James was a high school basketball prodigy before entering the NBA. With a 21-year history, he is arguably the greatest of all time and has millions of die-hard followers.

The most recognizable name in Northeast Ohio may no longer belong to the Los Angeles Lakers superstar. Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce may have had a push after his affair with singer Taylor Swift became publicized.

When asked during the Chiefs’ game against the Denver Broncos if LeBron James still considered himself the “King of Northeast Ohio,” he gamely responded:

“Sometimes you have to give the crown to the next guy. What’s going on with Travis (Kelsey) right now with the ‘Swifties,’ I’m going to give him the crown right now. “He deserves it right now. “

Kelce was hilariously mocked on social media for reportedly having a secret relationship with Taylor Swift. The pop icon has visited Arrowhead Stadium twice to watch the tight end play. Swift’s fans, popularly known as “Swifties,” welcomed the football player, further adding to his popularity.

LeBron James’ title as “King of Northeast Ohio” began when he tweeted his praise for Travis and Jason Kelce’s podcast. James posted:

“It’s so crazy that I didn’t get an invite to attend and it’s all awesome! Is it because you guys are really the king of Northeast Ohio and I claim to be? Honestly! . Seriously, you guys marvelous!!”

The Kelce brothers responded by saying the four-time NBA MVP is always welcome to join their podcast. Kansas’ star tight end also shared his enjoyment of the James mania that has gripped Ohio State even during the basketball player’s days at St. Mary’s-St. Vincent.

However, the Taylor Swift factor hadn’t come into play yet when LeBron James made his comments. Perhaps realizing the popularity of the Kelce-Swift combo, James gave up the crown.

Buffalo Bills devise a playbook named LeBron James

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen repeatedly yelled “LeBron James” during the team’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar confirmed he attended the game and was happy to hear his name being called.

When asked if he had studied the tactic, the NBA’s all-time scoring leader replied:

“I haven’t figured out what the play could be yet, but the only thing that happened was Josh Allen threw the ball out of bounds. I hope it wasn’t a play!”

The Buffalo Bills lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars 25-20 in London. James is hoping for better results in a game that uses his name as a rallying cry.
