The Los Angeles Lakers are trying to turn things around after losing five of their first eight games this season. They started a four-game road trip with a three-game losing streak, but they ended that slump with a come-from-behind victory over the Phoenix Suns on Friday and followed that up with a victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.
While Los Angeles still isn’t living up to its potential, it may be starting to get healthier. Rui Hachimura and Taurean Prince returned last week after missing multiple games with injuries, and big men Anthony Davis and Jackson Hayes also returned briefly from the injured list. Additionally, forward Jared Vanderbilt, who has been out since the preseason with left heel bursitis, is apparently set to return.
However, LeBron James is still dealing with a left calf contusion he suffered on Friday. He is listed as questionable for Tuesday’s home game against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Memphis is currently the worst team in the Western Conference at 2-8, but it shouldn’t be taken lightly. It just beat a new-look Los Angeles Clippers team on Sunday, with guard Desmond Bane and big man Jaren Jackson Jr. having strong starts to the new season.
