On Tuesday, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Orlando Magic 106-103 at home, achieving their second victory of the year and reaching 2 wins and 2 losses in the new season.

After losing to the Sacramento Kings in overtime, the Lakers must rebound against the young and scrappy Magic, with D’Angelo Russell scoring 28 points, Anthony Davis scoring 26 and 19 A rebound.

A bounce-back win would bring good vibes to the off-day that is Halloween. It took some team bonding and that was the Halloween party where some players dressed up in the holiday spirit.

Those in costume include LeBron James, Jared Vanderbilt and several others:

Guard Gabe Vincent also joined the Lakers girls in handing out candy to trick-or-treaters at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital:

Finally, D’Angelo Russell and Jackson Hayes celebrate the spooky season at Universal Studios’ Horror Nights:

The break allowed the team to build chemistry with each other and integrate some new players after reaching the Western Conference Finals. It seems like players are taking Halloween to heart and really getting into it.

Seeing James as “Beetlejuice” and Vanderbilt as “Blade” was fun to see and really think outside the box when considering their costume choices. Vincent returned home after college at UCSB and decided to give back to the community. Horror Nights is a popular Halloween attraction, and Russell and Hayes decided to experience it together at Universal Studios.

Despite some early struggles, it’s good to see the team in high spirits and trying to build some chemistry off the court. For a team like the Lakers trying to win an 18th championship, chemistry goes a long way.
