In addition to his knowledge of the game of basketball, LeBron James has also made it known that football is one of his strengths. Despite never having played in the NFL, that didn’t stop James from showing off his football knowledge by naming the winner before previous games.
According to the NBA star’s Instagram report, before his next game, James took the time to do some research through EA Madden before settling on his choice.
“Preparing for this week’s opponent @ClevelandBrowns”
In James’ story, he chose to simulate a game between the Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts. Additionally, the Lakers star is a native of Akron, Ohio, just south of downtown Cleveland. It will be interesting to see which team James backs as his winning choice.
When it comes to NBA players who can transfer skills and size to the NFL, LeBron James and Zion Williamson have been voted the most. Brooklyn Nets guard Lonnie Walker IV and Utah Jazz forward Talon Horton-Tucker mentioned why they drafted the two stars in an NBA article by Mark Medina.
Horton-Tucker described James and Williamson as two athletes who are difficult to defend in football because of their athleticism and physicality.
“Probably LeBron and Zion,” Horton-Tucker said. “They’re super athletes. LeBron is probably going to be a big tight end. Zion is going to be a defensive end. LeBron is going to be a big target to throw to. Zion is going to be a guy that’s going to try to blitz you and Fire your people.
“I didn’t have too many other people in mind.”
Walker IV, meanwhile, chose LeBron James because his versatility translates well to football. Additionally, he mentioned that Zion Williamson would be difficult to slow down due to his strength.
“LeBron is a super athlete,” Walker IV said. “He can be a wide receiver, a tight end, a safety, a cornerback, it doesn’t matter. This guy can do it all. He’s too big, too strong, too athletic. You’re going to use him What to do? It’s nearly impossible because cornerbacks aren’t that tall.
“Zion will be unstoppable,” Walker added. “You can put Zion in almost any position. He’s so strong. He’s going to be a tight end, not a linebacker. He’s more of an offensive game. He’s not defensively focused.”
It makes sense that LeBron James and Zion Williamson would be named NBA Players because they look capable of making the necessary transition.
