LeBron James approves Sean “Did” Combs’ generous donation to Howard University. The rapper and producer donated $1 million to his alma mater during homecoming weekend. Combs performed at the Yardfest event, making a surprise appearance.
According to ABC7 News, Combs surprised everyone by presenting Howard President Dr. Ben Vinson III with a huge check after the show. The Grammy Award-winning artist pledged to donate to Howard and Jackson State universities as part of last year’s BET Awards.
James’ SpringHill company shared a video of Combs’ performance and surprise donation on Instagram. “The King” also shared the post on his Instagram Story.

Sean “Diddy” Combs donated $1 million to Jackson State University back in August. However, Howard University is closer to Coombs’ heart. He attended Howard University until his sophomore year, when he decided to drop out and pursue a career in music.
Coombs returned in 2014 and received an honorary doctorate in humanities. He also delivered that year’s commencement address, the 146th in the university’s history.
LeBron James’ SpringHill, on the other hand, has supported HBCUs for years. It was also announced earlier this month that James’ The Shop will be touring HBCUs this fall to tape episodes of the hit show. Some of the HBCUs participating in the tour include Tennessee State University, Hampton University and North Carolina A&T University.
“We are excited to be a part of The Shop HBCU Tour and launch this initiative to increase the visibility of our institution,” TSU President Glenda Glover said in a statement. “TSU has With a proud history, outstanding students and outstanding alumni, we are excited to share this with the world, especially during our Homecoming celebrations.”

LeBron James enters 21st season in NBA career
LeBron James enters his 21st season in the NBA as one of the best players in the world. He will also enter this season as the league’s oldest player after Andre Iguodala officially announced his retirement. He will celebrate his 39th birthday in two months, but he is still outstanding for his age.
James looked brand new in the offseason and is well prepared for Season 21. The Los Angeles Lakers enter the new season with a lot of expectations, but the pressure may fall on Anthony Davis rather than James. Davis signed a massive three-year contract extension worth $186 million, confirming his place in the team.
