LeBron James revealed that his son, Bronny James, is hopeful about his college career on the court after a health scare earlier this year.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday (October 2) ESPNThe Los Angeles Laker detailed his eldest child’s recovery process.

“Bronny did really well,” the 38-year-old said.

“He has begun the rehab process to be able to return to the field this season with his teammates at USC. His surgery was successful … and he is getting better and better. “This summer has been an absolute blast for our family. A whirlwind, filled with a lot of emotions, but the best thing we have is each other. “

Bronny James collapsed from cardiac arrest during a practice in July and was taken to the hospital. Shortly after the incident, the father and son were spotted in Minnesota visiting the Mayo Clinic, considered one of the top medical institutions in the country.

“Yesterday, Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest while practicing. Medical personnel were able to treat Bronny and transport him to the hospital,” the official statement said. “LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly express their deepest gratitude and appreciation to USC’s medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of our athletes.”

In August, the James family revealed that Browne had been diagnosed with a “genetic disorder.” A statement describes “an anatomically and functionally significant congenital heart defect that can and will be treated.”

The 18-year-old returned to USC in May to play for the Trojan men’s basketball team.
