LeBron James’ oldest son’s health is encouraging after his cardiac arrest in July.
The Los Angeles Lakers star spoke with reporters during the NBA team’s media day to provide an update on the health of his 18-year-old son Bronny.
“Bronny is doing very well,” James told reporters, according to CNN. “He has begun the rehab process to get back on the court this season with his teammates and USC.”
“(After) his successful surgery…he’s getting better and better,” LeBron continued. “This summer has been an absolute whirlwind for our family and filled with a lot of emotions, but the best we’ve ever had. The good thing is each other. “
“We supported each other and gave Bronny strength throughout the process, and we’re excited to see how he performed today,” the NBA star concluded. “We look forward to seeing what the future holds for him.”
Bronny suffered a cardiac arrest during USC basketball practice and was immediately hospitalized. The teenager has since been diagnosed with congenital heart disease.
