LeBron James is no stranger to bettors. As one of the greatest basketball players of all time, many bettors have probably gone to James (or his team) more than once to place single bets and as part of parlays.
However, bettors may have a new reason to expect James to win, and it has nothing to do with his scoring props — or even basketball. James took to Instagram on Sunday morning to voluntarily choose which team would win nearly every game in NFL Week 4, and he crushed the results.
James has an 11-2 draft record, including an underdog pick by the Tennessee Titans over the Cincinnati Bengals and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers over the New Orleans Saints.
James can add another win to that record on Monday night if the Seattle Seahawks beat the New York Giants. Depending on how his week goes, bettors may want to tag along.
If James hadn’t been such a homer, his record might have been better. He picked the Cleveland Browns to beat the Baltimore Ravens even though starting quarterback Deshaun Watson will miss the game. His other bad pick was the Pittsburgh Steelers beating the Houston Texans.
Outside of those two picks, though, James had a clean day. The only games he didn’t select were Thursday night’s game between the Lions and Packers and an early London game between the Jaguars and Falcons, both of which apparently took place before he taped.
We’ll have to monitor James’ drafts in the future to make sure this isn’t just beginner’s luck.
