After the game, James talked about how the Lakers can keep up with the Suns and ultimately win. His reasoning was largely based on familiarity with Vogel, who coached the Lakers for three seasons and helped them win the 2020 NBA championship.

But during his speech about Vogel, James couldn’t help but take a dig at his favorite college football rivals, the Michigan Wolverines. Michigan State became the center of controversy this week when its head coach Jim Harbaugh was suspended by the Big Ten for the remainder of the regular season for sign stealing.He mentioned how the Lakers stole Vogel’s logo, via Dana Scott of AZCentral Sports:
