While Ohio State basketball has missed out on recruiting LeBron James’ son Bronny as he attempts to return to the USC court after suffering a cardiac arrest, there’s still hope for a member of the James family to end up in Columbus.
Bryce James is a 6-foot-4, 180-pound shooting guard in the Class of 2025 who many consider to be a better prospect than his brother Bronny (although currently only a three-star prospect) , who will visit head coach Chris Holtmann and staff this weekend, according to multiple reports

According to the 247Sports composite rankings, James ranks 20th among shooting guards in the class and 129th among rookie prospects. Although the visit was an unofficial one, unlike when Bonnie visited, it was still significant for Bryce’s recruitment.
2025 4⭐️ Bryce James and 2026 4⭐️ Dezhon Hall are expected to take unofficial visits to the Ohio State University campus next weekend, according to sources.

At this time, it has not been reported if Bryce has received an offer from Ohio State, but what we do know is that he won’t be the only visitor, as James will be joined by Indiana point guard De’on Hall in the 2026 class . The 6-foot-3, 175-pound Indianapolis native is currently unranked in the 247Sports composite rankings.
James could see his stock rise just like his brother – who soared in the rankings as Bronny’s game matured. Bryce will likely see a similar rise up the list.
