After Los Angeles Lakers’ 27-point win over Memphis Grizzlies, LeBron James shares keys to his continued success
The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 134-107 in the second game of the season championship. In this victory, LeBron James only played 23 minutes, but efficiently contributed 16 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. In his 21st NBA season, James remains one of the NBA’s biggest threats. After his win, he spoke about the keys to staying productive at this age.
“Just went out there And play free basketball,” James said. “I feel like there’s nothing I can’t do, just like I did on the basketball court in my 20s. So I continue to work on being the ultimate triple threat…scoring in the paint, shooting threes, getting to the three-point line as much as I can. Although the win came against the 2-9 Grizzlies, it was important for the Lakers as it moved the Lakers to a 6-5 record and a season winning record. They have now won three straight games, including two in-season tournament wins.
Not only did they win three games in a row, they also tied a franchise record with 22 three-pointers, which was their highest score of the season. Continuing to shoot in this game will only get them further from a 3-5 start.
The Lakers will next face the Sacramento Kings.
