The LEGO Disney 43222 Disney Castle is filled with all kinds of magical moments from the movie and here are five we’ve already seen.
The LEGO Group today officially revealed the 43222 Disney Castle, a 4,837 piece build that is a reimagining of the 71040 Disney Castle. The 100th anniversary model is expected to arrive online and in stores on July 1st for VIP members and again on July 4th for everyone else. The Lego Disney set will cost £344.99 / $399.99 / €399.99 and measure over 31” (80cm) tall, 23” (59cm) wide and 13” (33cm) deep.
43222 Disney Castle also comes with eight minifigures representing characters from several animated films, many of which are exclusive to the upcoming set. Additionally, the Lego Disney build includes references to 14 classic movies, some of which we’ve already covered. These include a spinning wheel from Sleeping Beauty, the magic mirror from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the Sorcerer’s Apprentice Broom and Bucket, and five others that we’ve looked at below.
5 – Rapunzel’s painting
In one of the many rooms inside 43222 Disney Castle, you’ll find a painting that appeared in 2010’s Tangled. The included Rapunzel minifigure also comes with a brush and a colorful palette to complete her work of art.
4 – The Enchanted Rose of Beauty and the Beast
Another section of 43222 Disney Castle features a small glass bell jar on a side table. Contained within is a simple composition of a red rose, the same enchanted flower from 1991’s Beauty and the Beast that will only bloom until the prince is 21.
3 – Aladdin’s magic lamp and the flying carpet
Above the dining room is a room containing both Aladdin’s magic lamp on the table and his flying carpet on the floor in front of it. The 1992 animated film included both elements, so it makes sense that they appear together.
2 – Excalibur the sword in the stone
It’s a little trickier to spot among the 43222 Disney Castle images released so far, but take a look at the back of the set’s box. In the lower left corner Excalibur can be seen peeping out of the anvil, as depicted in 1963’s The Sword in the Stone.
1 – Moana Maui Tapestry
Another recent Disney animated film, 43222, has also been screened at Disney Castle. The same room that holds the Aladdin paraphernalia also includes a tapestry of Dwayne Johnson’s famed god Maui hanging on the wall from 2016’s Moana.
43222 Disney Castle will launch on 1st July for VIP members for £344.99 / $399.99 / €399.99, before a wider release on LEGO.com and LEGO Shops on 4th July.
