For better or worse, Drake dresses like a ’90s Michael Jordan. As simple as. They are facts. Interestingly, this at least represents a bit of a stylistic upgrade compared to the usual Drake look.

Even more interesting is that Drake was actually wearing the same clothes as the day before: a jacket, baggy gray pants, and leather shoes.
This time around, the outerwear is leather and the shoes are black, but other than that, we’re talking about a one-on-one look with Drake.
I actually like the overall look as it’s a step up from his typical casual streetwear, and the consistency isn’t surprising considering how easy it is for him to repeat favorites, but what’s particularly striking about Drake is The outfit conveyed something I never thought I’d see again, at least not from Drake.
At first, I liked the new style of Ralph Lauren or Armani’s Drake from the 1980s, paired with slim glasses, thigh-high coats, textured but saggy pants and dressy shoes. But as some helpful Twitter commenters pointed out, Drake is every bit the Michael Jordan of the ’90s.
From a coat shaped like a refrigerator to giant pants that stretched far beyond the length of the wearer’s legs, Drake certainly displayed the same joyful grunginess as the off-court attire he wore during the halcyon days of the Bulls’ winning streak.
It’s not just the giant silhouette that ties Drake’s outfit to MJ’s old wardrobe: it’s the fur coat, it’s the little shoes that stick out from the pile of fabric.
And Drake alone in the restaurant…perhaps a reflection of Jordan’s go-your-own-way attitude on the court. Or maybe it’s a stretch.
Still, I love it. This is a more polished version of Drake that, while uncut, retains his fascination with ’90s style without falling into the fashion traps that Jordan often fell into.
Drake, for example, created an oversized fit in a way that Jordan never achieved—making the six-foot-tall Drake half a foot shorter than Jordan—which in turn made his garments suave .
He can certainly get the same feel without stepping on his big pants, but this is Drake we’re talking about. Like Jordan, he does whatever he wants.
