Lili Reinhart comments on Riverdale’s 5th season time jump


Actress Lili Reinhart is in a campaign to publicize her new Amazon Prime Video film, Chemical Hearts. She participated in an interview with presenter Jimmy Fallon and talked about the new production. However, Lili ended up revealing more about the time leap Riverdale’s Season 5 will have. And to the surprise of the fans, it must be bigger than expected.

The actress revealed that the first two episodes of the new season will serve to conclude the plot interrupted with the anticipated ending of the fourth season of Riverdale, which ended earlier than expected due to the Covid-19 pandemic. “We are taking the first two episodes to end season 4,” commented the actress.

The 4th season was expected to have 22 episodes, however, it ended up having its season finale in the 19th chapter, leaving the plot still open. “We had two and a half episodes left, so we stopped in the middle of an episode. When we get back, we will have to finish three days of an episode that we were shooting in March ”, commented Lili.

Regarding the time jump, the actress revealed that, in the 5th season, the characters of the series of The CW will already be adults. “We are taking, I believe, a seven-year time leaps into the future. We will no longer be teenagers ”.
