BET Awards 2023 are presented, Six awards were broadcast on Sunday evening (25 June). Leto and Coco Jones collected the awards themselves for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist and Best New Artist, respectively.
Teyana Taylor’s mom Nikki accepted her daughter’s award and even FaceTimed her during the broadcast to tell her she won Video Director of the Year.
Among the fifteen other non-televised 2023 BET Awards, two were notable ties: Renaissance by Beyoncé and SOS by SZA for Album of the Year; Chris Brown and Usher for Best Male R&B/Pop Artist.
