Liverpool star agrees to join Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane at Al Nasr Stadium

Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara appears set to move to Al Nasr, where he will link up with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane, according to El Nacional. He will also find other elite talent at Saudi Professional League (SPL) clubs such as Aymeric Laporte and Marcelo Brozovic.

Al Nasr, led by Portuguese coach Luis Castro, have been on a star-studded recruitment spree to add top talent to their squad as they aim to dethrone league leaders Al Hilal. Competition in Saudi Arabia’s top football league reaches new heights as Neymar, Kalidou Koulibaly, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Ruben Neves and other stars join Al Hilal high.

Thiago Alcantara has been hampered by injuries recently and has not featured for Liverpool this season, but he appears to be making a new start. Alcantara is struggling to find his place in Jurgen Klopp’s plans and is unlikely to regain a prominent role at Anfield, especially with the club bringing in new talent in the summer.

As his contract expires in June 2024, Liverpool reportedly have no intention of renewing his contract. The plan is to release Thiago in January and seek financial compensation, even the minimum. Thiago’s destination therefore appears to be Saudi Arabia, specifically Al Nasr.
