HBO Max released the teaser trailer for Love and Deathalso revealing the release date.
The miniseries starring Elizabeth Olsen and Jesse Plemons will debut in late April on HBO Max. The star of Wanda Visionin the project inspired by a true story, has the role of the Texan housewife who killed Betty Gore in the 80s.
The episodes will follow what happens to two couples of friends who live in a provincial town and attend their own church. Everything seems to be going well until someone picks up an axe.
Filming of the episodes took place in Kyle, Texas, and the script was signed by Kelley inspired by the essay Love and Death is inspired by the book Evidence of Love: A True Story of Passion and Death in the Suburbs and a series of articles published in Texas Monthly magazine.
The direction was entrusted to Lesli Linka Glatter, already behind the camera of Homeland and in the cast there are also Jesse Plemons, Lily Rabe, Patrick Fugit, Keir Gilchrist, Elizabeth Marvel, Tom Pelphrey and Krysten Ritter.
The miniseries will arrive on HBO Max on April 27 and is produced by David E. Kelley, Nicole Kidman and Lionsgate Television.
