Lucca, 24 March 2023 – Are you ready to dive into the pop atmosphere of the 80s and 90s for a weekend? Lucca Collezionando, the vintage-pop festival dedicated to comics and the worlds of fantasy, opens its doors tomorrow and Sunday (March 25 and 26) at Exhibition Center of Lucca.
Preparations are in full swing for the fair, organised from Lucca Crea (a company that creates Lucca Comics & Games), this year brings 100 exhibitors to the Polo Fiere in Lucca with 1,200 square meters more than in 2022, between the Lounge Area and the “Get up and Play” on the first floor.
Classic and modern comics, table games, role-playing and toys, arcade video games directly from the arcades of the 80s and 90s: all this will be the protagonist of the event that opens the Lucca Crea Week. Wild Boys of Eternia – Directly from the 80s, the Masters of the Universe will be the protagonists of this edition of Collecting.
Dream of many children, to the characters of He-Man, Skeletor and their friends and rivals is dedicated a tribute exhibition with hundreds of originals including action figures, playsets and vehicles from the fantastic universe of Eternia.
He will be a guest in Lucca Emiliano Santaluciathe illustrator and designer who helped create the world of the Masters, and Giuliano Piccininnoone of the main Italian designers of the creatures of Eternia, who will give life to a panel together with Dimitri Galli Rohl and Alessandro “DocManhattan” Apreda (Saturday 25 March at 17.30).
Many also the exhibitors they will bring rare pieceswhich will allow you to complete your collection: Fanta Universe (Funko Pop), Toyhouse (latest series and vintage Masters), Ory Comix (new rubber kids figures) and Mondiversi (vintage figures).
Then space for tournaments in “Get in & Play”. On the first floor of Exhibition Center it is played analogically, with more than 50 tables dedicated to vintage board games, old school RPGs, trading card games, wargames.
There will be tournaments of Magic: The Gathering, Flesh and Blood, Bolt action and for those who love fingertip football, there will also be individual Subbuteo tournaments.
In the Used Game Bazaar (first floor) you can buy second-hand games and also sell them. In fact, it will be enough to leave their own games to the Bazaar and return at the end of the day to collect for any sale.
In the lounge area (ground floor), Comics per kilo, the space where it will be possible to buy second-hand comics. The Polo Fiere has ample parking but for those arriving by train there is also a free shuttle bus from the train station running continuously from 8.30 to 19.30.
