Luciérnaga plans to continue deployment in Trujillo State |

The Bolivarian government, through the Ministry of People’s Power of Health (MPPS), maintains the Lucienaga program deployed in the state of Trujillo as a protective measure to guarantee free immunization services for the people of Trujillo.

The program is made up of health staff from different Integrated Community Health Areas (ASICs) who also conduct house-to-house visits from 5:00pm to 8:00pm to provide children, adolescents, pregnant women and the elderly, vaccines such as anti-poliomyelitis Vaccines, yellow fever vaccines, BCG vaccines, tetanus diphtheria toxoids, hepatitis B vaccines, pentavalent and trivalent virus vaccines, etc.

Notably, this entity complies with the health policy promulgated by MPPS Minister Magaly Gutiérrez Viña, aimed at guaranteeing the supply of vaccines throughout the region and preventing immunologically preventable diseases.

Finally, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, in cooperation with the country’s top health authorities, is rolling out a nationwide vaccination campaign to strengthen the immune system and protect the Venezuelan people from endemic diseases.
